In many cultures, yellow is a color of status, royalty, and prestige. Yellow symbolizes the sun that causes all living things to grow. Yellow reminds us of joy, friendliness, openness, freedom, enthusiasm and optimism.

In Feng Shui, yellow and earth tones represent Tai Chi, or The Center of the Bagua. It represents balance, harmony, stability, patience and being grounded. The Chinese saying “with great tolerance, you will be able to attain the highest esteem (position)” is represented by yellow. Yellow is the happiest of colors.

In the Chakra system yellow represents the overall vibration of golden light. When your overall vibration is balanced, your life force, chi, is strong and you are in sync with your life’s purpose and your health is vibrant.

Yellow also corresponds to the 3rd Chakra, also known as the Will Center, which represents our ability to focus on a specific purpose. Our intellectual mind is stored there. When you are balanced in the 3rd Chakra you will feel focused and you will feel that your personal power drives you to accomplish your goals.

The physical areas related to the Will Center or 3rd Chakra are the gallbladder, liver, pancreas, adrenals, stomach, intestines and middle back.
