o Soft pink, orange and fuchsia Today I live with thankfulness. Thoughts of beauty, joy and
well- being surround me. We spend so much time thinking about what we want and what we are lacking, that
we feel emotionally and physically drained. Allow yourself to look at your life
from a new perspective. Think about the wonderful things in your life and write
them down. It is important to actually see your true inner assets in black and
white. A daily gratitude journal is invaluable. You may be surprised at how
abundant your life really is.
When you journal, do not leave anything out. For example, I am grateful to drink
my fresh brewed morning coffee out of a porcelain mug and for the nightstand to
put it down on. I’m thankful for the lightness and comfort of my down blanket;
crisp, clean sheets to sleep on; good reading material by my bed, the birds
outside my window; the hawk in my oak tree - and on and on.
Gratitude begins with awareness. It changes our thoughts to beauty, joy,
abundance and well being. It is this place of gratitude that all we desire can
be manifested. “Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and
more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, and confusion to clarity.
It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, and a stranger into a
friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a
vision for tomorrow.”
Melody Beattie from Simple Abundance by Sarah Ban Breathnach
“I live in the space of thankfulness- and I have been rewarded a million times
over for it. I started giving thanks for small things, and the more thankful I
became, the more my bounty increased. That’s because what you focus on expands,
and when you focus on the goodness in your life, you create more of it.
Opportunities, relationships, even money flowed my way when I learned to be
grateful no matter what happened in my life… It’s not easy being grateful all
the time. But it’s when you feel least thankful that you are most in need of
what gratitude can give you.”
